Zola Nombona Returns to Acting With A Lead Role. She is one of the most talented actresses to ever grace our screens. But of recent though, Zola Nombona has been pushing other things, such as her ambassadorship gig with Foschini.

The award winning actress is back with a bang, and we are here for her latest acting gig. Zola is part of the cast in the intriguing newest Mzansi Magic telenovela. She bagged a role in My Brother’s Keeper, which is set to premiere on Monday 23 October at 19:30. The upcoming show will replace the award-winning Gomora, which comes to an end in its fourth season.  

My Brother’s Keeper tells the story of Nqubeko, played by Wiseman Mncube, the headstrong and overambitious son of a mistress who is tired of being side-lined by his father. Nqubeko decides to break the rules of ‘ukungena’ by going after his brother’s widow, Fakazile (Zola), the woman who holds the controlling power to the Shabalala family empire. 

But Nqubeko’s mad quest for power and need for his father’s approval puts him on a collision course with his four half-brothers. This threatens to tear down the Shabalalas and their future. Who will emerge victorious and who will be casualties? 

Other talented actors cast in My Brother’s Keeper, include S’dumo Mtshali, Lindani Nkosi, Nelisa Mchunu, Rosemary Zimu, Vuyiseka Cawe, Hlengiwe Lushaba-Madlala, Nkanyiso Mchunu, Sparky Xulu, Raphael Griffiths and Nthabiseng Kgosana. . 

My Brother’s Keeper is produced by Rhythm World, the team which is also behind the hit telenovela Umkhokha.
