10 Things You Didn’t Know About Cornet Mamabolo AKA Tbose

Born in Limpopo and  bred in Johannesburg, Cornet Mamabolo aka Tbose  is without a doubt one of South Africa’s rising stars. Cornet Mamabolo developed a love for the Acting craft at a young age. Thabiso Cornet Mamabolo (21) better known as Tbose in the drama series Skeem Sam. So far, this youngster has proven that he is the best in making a name for himself in the industry.

1. Cornet was born in Limpopo and attended Eqinisweni Secondary School.

2. He studied a course in Bachelor of Arts, Dramatic Arts at the University of Witwatersrand. He is now pursuing his honors with Wits University in BADA (Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts) and a Degree in Computational Linguistics.

3. Cornet Mamabolo’s acting career started in 2005 , when he performed arts during high school, starting with community theatre in Ivory Park, Tembisa and then moved onto mainstream theatre two years later.

4. His biggest achievements so far include being nominated best male poet and most promising actor while at Wits, a certificate of leadership at high school, and most promising student in performing arts and movement at Wits University in Dramatic Arts Department

5. Cornet grew up with his grandmother, uncles and aunts.

6. Cornet’s inspiration looks up to actor Aubrey Sekhabi.

7. In his spare time Cornet supports theatre performances, writes plays and short stories.

8. Cornet’s favourite movie is The Pursuit of Happyness, his favourite actor is Phillip Tipo Thindisa and best TV show is Death of a Queen.

9. He’s a director, writer, translator, dancer and currently pursuing content and technical producing for radio. He also does stage managing for theatre productions and content director.

10. Cornet’s biggest dream is to be recognised as an international performing arts practitioner for theatre and screen.
