Nonhle Thema Announces Her Club 808 Exit
Just after one week of Mo Flava’s announcement to leave e.TV’s Club 808, Nonhle has just announced on twitter that she’s also leaving after one year of co hosting the music show.
Nonhle states the direction of which the show is taking to target younger audience as the reason for her leaving the show. The show is now aiming to attract 16-20 year olds and she feels she’s too old and too mature to stay on the show. The show will also be moving to a new time slot which is 6pm.
Nonhle thanked e.TV and Monde Twala who’s the Group Head of channel for giving her the opportunity. This was Nonhle’s first comeback to TV as a presenter after a public meltdown that almost ruined her career.
The 33 year old says she wants to focus on her acting and she has a new show in the works which is mature and suitable for her target market, which has always been her dream. We wonder if she was inspired by her “friend” Khanyi Mbau who has a hit show on the same channel.
