“This Is A Lie,” Prince Kaybee Reacts to Being On the Top 10 Highest Paid Music Artist List. He is one of the best musicians of our time. Prince Kaybee has released hit after hit, and he has also helped unearth new talent. Because of his contribution to the industry, he was recently announced as the Johannesburg choir master, in this season’s Clash of the Choirs South Africa.
Prince Kaybee has received quite a number of awards for his talent. He is also among the best that we have ever had in this country. According to Briefly publication, the Charlotte hitmaker was ranked amongst the top 10 highest-paid musical artists in 2023. He was ranked ninth place between rapper A-Reece who is 10th place. It was further stated that Prince Kaybee charges R50 000 for a gig, same as singer King Monada who charges a slightly higher R55 000 booking fee.
Reacting to the news, the award winning musician and entrepreneur said this is a lie. Prince Kaybee pointed out that he is the poorest DJ in the country, and only has one car to his name. He pleaded with the publisher to get him out of the list.
“This is a lie, I’m the poorest DJ, I only have one car to my name, a 1998 merc that values at about 40k, no properties, no nothing, please get me out of these lists,” Prince Kaybee said.
His fans and followers do not agree with him though. They mentioned his trucks, as well as properties he owns. To which Prince Kaybee responded that they are not his, he is just posing. Well, as some mentioned this could be a case of modesty or someone not wanting to be harassed by SARS.
