1. NSFAS Bursaries and Loans

Higher Education and Training Minister Dr Blade Nzimande has announced that the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has set aside R9.5 billion in bursaries and loans for 2015. This year’s allocation was an increase compared to 2014’s R8.3 billion. He said NSFAS would fund 205 000 first-time entering and continuing eligible students at universities and 200 000 students at Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges.

4. NYDA Bursary or Scholarship 2015

The Scholarship Fund provides financial support to young people who have been accepted to pursue full-time degrees in courses that fall within the priority growth sectors and critical and scarce skills areas as outlined in the labour planning frameworks of the country.The Scholarship Fund, which the NYDA is striving to make the biggest on the continent, will benefit deserving South African youth who meet the minimum entry requirements set by the NYDA – youth who have been admitted for study at Universities and Universities of Technology and Further Education and Training Colleges across the country.

9. FoodBev Seta Bursary Opportunity 2015

Foodbev SETA invites prospective First year and postgraduate full time, unemployed students enrolled at university for the 2015 academic year to apply for study bursaries the are relevant to the food and beverage manufacturing industry.
