Source, write and publish news stories in local newspaper and websites.
Work without supervision under the news editor.
Report fairly and objectively adhering to Journalistic Code of Ethics.
Cover breaking news, evening events and weekend functions when required.
Be active on social media platforms.
Meet daily and weekly deadlines.

Requirements
Above average English skills (Grade 12 symbol A)
Minimum qualification diploma in journalism and one year’s experience in a news room.
Must have a keen interest in the community and be willing to get involved as a “personality” within the community.

Advantageous
Proficient in photography.
Experience with social media platforms.
Knowledge of the Rosebank Killarney area.

Personal Skills/Attributes
Good interpersonal skills
Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence
