Vatiswa Ndara Makes a Comeback With a Powerful Book

Vatiswa Ndara Makes a Comeback With a Powerful Book. She has been missing in action for quite sometime now. Of recent, Vatiswa Ndara has not been getting any acting gigs, and she hasn’t been active even on her social media pages for almost two years.

The veteran multi-award winning actress and former radio newsreader hasn’t had an easy road in the entertainment industry. Vatiswa’s problems began when she wrote an open letter to Arts, Sports and Culture, Minister Nathi Mthethwa. She opened up about abuse, exploitation and bullying that she and other actors on Mzansi Magic film Igazi had to endure at the hands of the Ferguson Films production company.

Actors want to be remunerated fairly. No-one wants to work towards poverty, which is the norm in this industry. When shows rake in profits, actors do not benefit from this. Actors further don’t benefit from shows on repeat, even though they should receive royalties,” part of the letter said.

Since the public feud with industry leaders, Vatiswa hasn’t been able to get work, something many expected will happen. No production company is keen to touch Vatiswa, who also acted on major shows like Gaz’lam, Nomzamo, Tsha Tsha, It’s Complicated, Mfolozi Street, Mtunzini.com, Muvhango, Igazi, Generations and Home Affairs. It has been so sad seeing such talent vanish into thin air.

The good news for her fans is that Vatiswa is back with a bang. She just shared on her social media pages that she has been working on a book which will be released very soon. Judging by its title, UNFILTERED, it goes without saying that this is going to be an interesting read. We definitely can’t wait for this one.
