Introduction

An opportunity exists for an Internship (2 posts) at the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of the Free State (Ref No: Ekonomies1410-015).

Duties and responsibilities:

• Handle reception.
• Refer students and visitors to appropriate person.
• Assist students with academic advice (in collaboration with the Faculty Manager).
• Process comments on student records.
• Manage a filing system for student enquiries.
• Assist with the administration of the international students’ applications.
• Provide assistance during the registration processes.
• Assist with the completion of financial forms and filing.
• Assist with the travel and accommodation arrangements for the Dean.
• Assist with the managing of appointments for the Dean.

Inherent requirements:

• B-degree within the Economic and Management Sciences Faculty.
• Computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function with ease in the University’s parallel-medium and richly diverse working environment.

Recommendation:

• Continuation of studies with the Economic and Management Sciences Faculty
