Check Out the GLAMOUR Women of the Year 2022 Awards Nominees. The awards are back after a two year hiatus. This year, the Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards are back with their Game Changer’s Edition and have introduced a whole new award’s category in partnership with Avon. The Next Gen Game Changer category is reflective of their ever-changing social landscape.

The candidates for this year are Uncle Waffles, Zola Nombona, Lauren Dallas and Bridgette Ngcobo.

Uncle Waffles

Her success story will go down history as one of the most inspirational. Uncle Waffles’ biggest break came after a video of herself doing her thing at a club went viral. She even got noticed by US rapper Drake, who immediately followed her on Instagram. Now the talented Waffles performs at sold out venues across the world, and recently bagged a hosting gig on BBC Radio 1.

Zola Nombona

This year Zola Nombona positioned herself very well as one of the most influential celebrities in the country. The award winning actress, entrepreneur and influencer has just been announced as the new ambassadors of Foschini retail store. As a business woman, Zola has ventured into the shapewear space. Her range is inclusive and has been receiving love from women from different walks of life.

Lauren Dallas

Lauren Dallas is passionate about women empowerment, which inspired her to create a platform that equips women with the resources they need to succeed in business. Dallas launched Future Females in August 2017 in Cape Town and has since grown the platform from fewer than 600 people to more than 100 000 members with 2 300 graduates. The platform operates in 55 cities around the world.

Bridget Ngcobo

Bridget Ngcobo is passionate about people, problem-solving and empowerment. She is currently the Finance Industry Manager & Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Coach at Google, where she leads the team to inclusive workspaces and innovative solutions.
