Enhle Mbali Has a Message for Women Who Use Gender Based Violence Loosely

Enhle Mbali Has a Message for Women Who Use Gender Based Violence Loosely. Gender based violence more so against women is on the rise in this country. Headlines are filled with horrific stories of women being emotionally, physically abused and even murdered by either men they know or just strangers.

One known personality who has come forth with her gender based violence story is Enhle Mbali. In March, she and her estranged husband, Black Coffee allegedly had an altercation in a home they used to share. According to Enhle, Black Coffee slapped her on the wrist after a disagreement. Apparently he was unhappy with the birthday celebration that she held at their home. After going public about what she went through, Enhle proceeded to take the matter to court to get a restraining order.

Although the two has now stopped airing their dirty laundry in social media, it looks like they have divorced. They have however been civil to each other, and each one of them is concentrating on their career. As much as gender based violence is another pandemic we are dealing with, Enhle has noted that some women use it loosely for their own gain. This has sadly led to some men lose jobs, reputations or even go to jail for crimes they did not commit.

Enhle has thus advised women on the implications of doing such. She noted that gender based violence is quite a serious issue, where a lot of victims have lost their lives. If some women use it loosely according to Enhle, this fight we fight daily will be watered down.

Dear woman don’t use GBV loosely. It’s a real issue many suffer and many die. Let’s not water down a real fight an extremely imperative one to win,” Enhle said.
