Ayanda MVP Makes a Return to YFM. Five years ago in March, she left the radio station to join Primedia Broadcasting. Now Ayanda MVP is going back to YFM, much to the excitement of her fans as well as radio lovers out there.

Ayanda MVP started her radio career in February 2011, Tuks FM, which is the radio station of the University of Pretoria. She was with the radio station for two years and seven months, when she caught the attention of YFM. The media personality and DJ was scouted by YFM‘s station manager, Tumelo Diaho- Monaheng. He slid into Ayanda’s DM’s to offer her an opportunity with the station and as they say, the rest is history.

She was soon asked to fill in daytime slots and eventually landed her own daytime show, on weekends from 12-3pm. Ayanda was with Y until April 2017,when she left to join 947 FM. By July that year she had taken over Stacey Norman’s slot, on weekdays from 10am – 1pm, which was extended to 3pm from January 2018, making it a five-hour slot.

Now Ayanda is going back to YFM, with a brand new show. She will host afternoon drive show, Home Run, as of Tuesday 3rd of May 2022, from 3pm to 6pm. Ayanda expressed excitement over her return, saying that she has been working toward an opportunity like this.

“This new show gives me the platform to continue being purposeful and intentional with my love for music both on radio and the decks…. the time for me has finally arrived for me to host drive on Y. It’s time to hear what AyandaMVP is really made of,” she said.
