Choosing a university is exciting and there’s a lot to look forward to, but don’t be consumed by the excitement, here are a few factors to consider:

Location: Depending on where you will believe during the course of your studies, the location should be considered so that you can determine other factors such as transport. Also look into whether the university is based in a town or a secluded area.

 
Accommodation: will you be living on or off campus? Register for residence if you want to live on campus and find accommodation close enough to campus if you will be living off campus to avoid hassles of getting to campus in time for classes.

 
Travelling-Alone1Travelling costs: This only applies if you will be living off campus. Find the most reliable and safe form of transport to get you to and fro school.

 
University accreditation: Make sure the university you plan to attend is accredited in the country that you will be studying in.

 
Relevance to your course of choice:Consider if the university offers the course and majors you want.

 
Career placement: Considering employment after your studies, ask questions such as , are graduates in your intended field of study finding employment in careers in which you are interested? Also consider the placement rate of graduates.

Financial Assistance: Universities can be very expensive, and one can use all the financial assistance they can get. Check with the institution for a comprehensive listing of available financial aid for their institution, including departmental scholarships.

Attend the open day: This will allow you to get the feel of a place by going on a tour with one of the attending students; it will also offer you the opportunity to ask questions about the social environment, facilities, and any other aspects you wish to know more details on.
