Check Out How Celebs Stepped Out for the L’Ormarins King’s Plate 2024. The local entertainment calendar is already looking attractive. There are quite a number of events to look forward to this January, and we can’t wait for those receipts.
Over the weekend, we had one of the most glamorous events of the year, the L’Ormarins King’s Plate 2024. Most A-list celebrities headed to Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse, in Cape Town where a fusion of equestrian elegance and high fashion, was showcased. The historical race has been run since 1861, when Queen Victoria donated a Silver Plate and 500 Sovereigns to the winner.
The past weekend was the 163rd running of the King’s Plate, and celebs came in multitudes. Attendees did not disappoint as they stuck to the theme rocking tones of blue and white. A panel of four judges kindly organized by Merchants on Long walked around the course with LKP jockeys scouting for people to be shortlisted for the Best Dressed and Best Hat. Award winning designers, Thebe Magugu and Sindiso Khumalo took on the role of judges of the fashion competition.
A number of celebrities were spotted at the event. Among them include Mohale Motaung, Yaya Mavundla and Celeste Khumalo.
