“I’ll Be Forever Grateful for the Experience,” Sello Maake kaNcube On His Early Acting Gigs. He is one of the most consistent actors of our times. Sello Maake kaNcube started acting more than four decades ago, and he is still a it.

The award winning veteran actor is also versatile as well. Maake is best known for his leading roles in the long running soap opera Generations as Archie Moroka and on the ETV soap opera Scandal! as a villainous character called Lucas “Daniel” Nyathi. He also starred as the flamboyant Kgosietsile in Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, The Queen. Maake has also stared in so many major shows among them, The Lion King Skeem Saam and most recently Champions.

He received his honorary SOTIGUI award in November 2021 for his contribution within the African creative industry. FNB Vita also Awarded him Best Performance in a Comedy by a Male for Call Us Crazy. In 2000/2001 he won the Pan African Heritage Broadcast Achievement Award for Drama. Most notably, he won the Dalro Award for Best Actor for ‘The Suit’. In 2011 he won the Naledi award for best actor playing Mandela, in the Rivonia Trial.

Despite his massive success, Maake is still a humble man. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the opportunities he got in the industry, crediting everything to God.
