Vacancy: Cashier

Client is looking for a Morning Shift Cashier for their Large Supermarket based in Sunnyside. Applicants must have matric a year’s experience and be fluent in English. Basic Salary Offered: R2500 – R3000 per month. Plus overtime. If you are interested, visit YOUTH VILLAGE and apply.

Duties will include but not limited to:

• Reserving items for customers.
• Establishing and identifying prices of goods.
• Scanning items.
• Receiving payments and reconciling of sales.
• Controlling and checking outgoing merchandise.
• Wrapping or bagging items.
• Responsible for float.
• Cash-ups.

• Attention to detail.
• Submit to controls.
• Remain attentive in an often busy environment.
• Comfortable with numbers.

Personal Qualities:

• Like customer contact.
• Able to prioritize the workload.
• Be naturally calm & focused.
• Be versatile, if participation in other types of activity is required.

Requirements:

• Matric certificate essential.
• Minimum 1 – 2 years’ experience in retail as a Cashier.
• Must be well spoken, friendly and a fast worker.
• Fluent in English.

Basic Salary Offered: R2500 – R3000 per month. Plus overtime.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 8h00 – 13h00. Weekends: 08h00 – 13h00. Every second weekend off.
