Amanda Manku Shares An Update Regarding Her Mom and Grandmother’s Killers. The year 2021, will forever be the most difficult for Amanda Manku and her family. The talented Skeem Saam actress and sportscaster lost both her mother and grandmother in gun violence.
Her mother (45) and grandmother (70) were cruelly killed by unknown men on the 4th of May 2021, at Makgophong village, Zebediela. During that difficult period, Amanda did not say much on social media. She only shared a black and white picture of a bird bowing its head in the rain. A couple of weeks later Amanda, took to Twitter to express how she felt. She asked the Lord why she lost both her beloveds at the same time, and where should she go now for comfort.
As much as this is a hard blow to be dealt with, there is a positive update, that Amanda has shared. Taking to social media she shared an update that the suspects have been have been arrested. The three suspects connected to her mother and grandmother’s murders will face court. Among the suspects are believed to be a 53-year-old police captain and his 42-year-old girlfriend, who have since been arrested. The will appear in court again on the 18th of January 2024.
One suspect was caught trying to cross into Mozambique. Charges against the suspects include conspiracy to commit murder, robbery, attempted murder, and more. The grieving family trust the South African Police Service and judiciary system will do their best in the case.
