SA Police Services is looking for Artisans

The South African Police Service (SAPS) is looking for ARTISANS (Constable) in all 9 provinces of the country.

Act South African Police Service Act 68 of 1995 Salary Notch R132 855 per annum

Generic requirements:

Applicants must display competency in the post-specific core functions.

  • Be fluent in at least two of the official languages, of which one must be English.
  • Must have no criminal record or pending criminal / departmental cases.
  • Applicants will be subjected to a vetting process which will include security screening and fingerprint verification.

Additional Requirements:

  • A completed Motor Mechanic Trade Test Certificate in terms of Section 13 or Section 28 of the Manpower Training Act of 1981 or Section 26D(4) of the Skills Development Act (SDA) (no level test certificates will be accepted)
  • Junior Certificate or N1 certificate will be an advantage
  • Valid light motor vehicle driver’s licence

Successful applicants not yet appointed in terms of the South African Police Service Act,1995 (Act no 68 of 1995) will be subject to a medical examination and they will be expected to undergo training on a date as determined and prescribed by the National Commissioner.
