Social Media Reacts to Miss SA Top 12 Finalist Levern José Withdrawing Following Bullying Allegations

Social Media Reacts to Miss SA Top 12 Finalist Levern José Withdrawing Following Bullying Allegations. The Miss South Africa organization has always made it clear that it does not condone bullying of any kind. That is probably why Levern José, a Top 12 finalist decided to withdraw from the pageant.

The 23 year old beauty is from Kimberley in the Northern Cape. Levern is a candidate property practitioner, a BCom law student at Eduvos Pretoria and an entrepreneur. Her mission was to collaborate with the Minister of Small Business Development and Minister of Employment and Labour to explore the economic viability of women and youth in South Africa. Sadly, that wont happen through the Miss SA organization, as she is now out of the competion.

Her withdrawal from the upcoming pageant comes after she was accused of bullying by schoolmates on social media. Just like in the case of Bianca Schoombee back in 2020, Levern’s past came back to haunt her. Bianca had to quit the pageant because of her offensive racial tweets from 2014. As fo Levern, her withdrawal comes from the pressure of being accused of bullying by schoolmates on social media.

As a survivor of bullying, I learned how to protect myself from bullying during my school years. If my actions in protecting myself caused harm to anyone, I offer my sincere apologies. The pain of being a target has left an indelible mark on my heart, and I would never intentionally cause hurt or contribute to someone else’s suffering,” she said in the statement.

As it is the case with such incidents, Levern is trending on where all the drama stared, social media. So many people are happy that she has bowed out of the pageant.
