Vacancy: Department of Health Data Capturer

UMkhanyakude Health District (KwaZulu-Natal) (3 Posts):
Inhlwathi Clinic (1 Post),
Mduku Clinic (1 Post),
Ndumo Clinic (1 Post) and
Tshwane Health District (Gauteng) (2 Posts):
Laudium CHC (1 Post),
Phedisong 4 CHC (1 Post).
REQUIREMENTS: 
  • A Grade 12 Certificate (Matric) PLUS a Basic Routine Health Information System for Data Capturers Certificate Knowledge of and experience in data recording and filing systems
  • Computer skills in MS Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • An accurate, alert, attentive, orderly and diligent thinker and worker, preferably residing in KwaZulu-Natal (for the posts in UMkhanyakude) and Gauteng (for the posts in Tshwane).
DUTIES:
  • Ensure patient records and files are always properly kept and secured
  • Reconcile patient records with various registers
  • Ensure ongoing data capture facility registers into the database within agreed time frames with a high standard of accuracy
  • Identify, resolve or query missing data and data quality issues observed during data entry, electronic checks or manual reviews and report to the Facility Manager
  • Communicate and distribute data to the Facility Manager Draw early and missed appointment reports in accordance with the ART SOP’s
  • Presentation of TIER.Net data at facility meetings
  • Ensure regular backups of data on TIER.net on computers, compacts discs or memory sticks, etc.
  • Liaise with the Facility or Operational Nurse Manager or Sub-District/District Information Officers.
