Siba Mtongana Remembers The Late Dorah Sitole With Heartfelt Tributes. Monday morning South Africa woke up to the sad news of Mam’ Dorah Sitole‘s passing. Her untimely death sent shock waves across the country and beyond.
The accomplished food writer, food stylist, and former True Love Editor’s death touched many people including fellow celebrity chef and author Siba Mtongana. According to Siba, Mam’ Dorah played a major role in her early days of career as Food Editor of Drum Magazine.
“Mam D!! She was my voice of reason and mentor when I was frustrated with all the hurdles in the corporate world of media with all her wealth of knowledge and experience in the food media and publishing world… She paved a way for many black foodies and chefs we have to this day,” Siba said.
“Your wealth of knowledge and experience over your 40 years industry has been invaluable to society at large… I feel so honoured that you have been part of my food career journey …May your legacy live on,” Siba added on her beautiful tribute.
