Brief Description:

Graduating bachelor’s engineering students and recent graduates are invited to put their skills to the test by taking the KIC InnoEnergy Challenge. Entrepreneurial engineering students from European universities are welcome to apply!

Host Institutions:

In the KIC InnoEnergy Challenge students compete for a €750/month scholarship during studies at the KIC InnoEnergy Master School, with partner universities all over Europe, including:

– KU Leuven
– TU/Eindhoven – Eindhoven University of Technology
– Grenoble INP – Grenoble Institute of Technology
– GEM – Grenoble Ecole de Management
– ParisTech – Institute des Sciences et Technologies
– IST – Instituto Superior Técnico
– UPC – Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Barcelona Tech.
– ESADE Business School
– KIT – Karlsruhe Institute of Technology
– AGH University of Science and Technology
– SUT – Silesian University of Technology
– KTH Royal Institute of Technology
– Uppsala University

Fields of Study:

Engineering; specifically electrical, chemical, mechanical or energy engineering.

Target group:

Graduating or recently graduated engineering bachelor’s students who have studied electrical, chemical, mechanical or energy engineering in Europe.

Scholarship Value:

•  A two year scholarship for a €750/month living allowance during your studies at the KIC InnoEnergy Master School (the master school is funded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, EIT).

•  A trip to Barcelona in July 2014 where you spend one day at the prize ceremony and attending KIC InnoEnergy Master School info sessions, and another day exploring Barcelona!

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the competition applicants must:

•  Hold a bachelor’s degree (by summer 2014) from a European university
•  Have studied electrical, chemical, mechanical or energy engineering
•  Register for & complete the challenge, including a quiz, a sustainable energy case, and a personal motivation
•  Apply for a KIC InnoEnergy Master School programme.

• Submit a Case Solution in Sustainable Energy
• Submit a personal motivation explaining why you want to become a Game Changer in Sustainable Energy
• Apply for the KIC InnoEnergy Master School programme of your choice
