Fast growing, leading rare and krugerrand coin shop is seeking a sales consultant

Requirements

• Matric
• Business, Customer Relations and Sales qualifications will be advantageous
• Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Pastel
• minimum 2 years sales experience in a Jewelry store or a similar environment

The successful applicant will have to perform the following duties:

• Selling coins (Rare and Krugerrand) coins and medallions so that personal and the respective Store’s Targets and standards are achieved.
• Identifying new business opportunities.
• Building the client base within the store.
• Keeping regular contact with existing customers.
• Honing product knowledge.
• Keeping up to date with pricing and product developments.
• Handling of cash, credit cards, bank transfers and cheques.
• Assisting with stock counts as per procedures and standards.
• Following systems, policies and procedures within the stores.
• Ensuring that merchandise is attractively and accurately displayed.
• Safekeeping of company assets and facility.
• Keeping the store neat and tidy at all times.
• Filing, general administration and assisting in store efficiency as required
• Sales experience in a luxury goods and retail environment would be advantageous
• Ideally should stay near the respective mall.
• Ability to handle extended quiet periods in a store.
• Aware i.e. noticing and responding appropriately to fraudulent and suspicious behaviour
• Must be willing to move to other stores if necessary
• South African citizen
