Job description

Through the full range of information partners and channels, accurately and methodically check, verify and develop the records on the Medpages database, (contact and personal details of Healthcare practitioners and organisations in Africa) and by so doing ensure the integrity and quality of the database.

This job is located in Cape Town and will be based from the Medpages office in Long Street.
NB – to apply for this position YOU MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE FLUENTLY IN PORTUGUESE!

Job function: 
To data capture the correct contact and personal details based on confirmation from the appropriate info partner and channel i.e. fax, web, client files and telephone calls.
To make outgoing telephone calls, to verify the details of records on the database using appropriate questioning and listening skills.
To handle objections from the suppliers of information in an intelligent, professional and polite manner.
To identify any potential database errors and communicate them to the team leader.
To undertake administrative duties as required by the business.
To actively participate in working in a team, assisting each other thus ensuring team deadlines are met and creating a positive office environment.
To achieve the agreed targets set.
To manage your personal task manager ensuring due dates are met and tasks effectively prioritised.
To take the initiative to ensure the database is always being enhanced and quality improved.
To process queries as per customer requests.
Requirements
Computer literacy – MS Office, Word, Excel, email and internet explorer.
Communication Skills: including proficiency in English and Portuguese.
Minimum three years working experience.
Work permit essential.
Advantageous
Call centre and data base experience would be beneficial.
Post matric qualifications would be beneficial.
Healthcare background.
