Vacancy: Lifeguards

Requirements:
• South-African citizens between the ages of 22 and 35
• Fluent in English
• Must have a valid passport
• Clear criminal record
• 2-3 years’ experience as a lifeguard

Main Functions:
• Lifeguards are responsible for the health, safety and welfare of everyone using the public beaches and swimming pools.
• Major responsibilities including but are not limited to observing swimmers and enforcing regulations in guarding life and prevention of accidents.
• Responsible for following and carrying out all workplace expectations and adhering to policies set out by clients.
• Flexible to assist other related duties in maintenance and operations as and when required and when delegated to do so.
• Supervise the activities of all swimmers by enforcing rules and regulations.
• To rescue persons in distress or in danger of drowning when necessary and provide CPR and first aid to resuscitate victims.
• Adhere to community workplace expectations, encompassing communications, working relations, job reliability and initiative, safety, accomplishment of work tasks and supervision.
• Conduct simple tests to determine water quality.
