“It’s Been Amazing,” Khaya Dladla Exits Gagasi FM. It looks like its not raining but pouring there by Gagasi FM. Just a day ago, one of their presenters Penny Ntuli announced that she was not renewing her contract with the station. This comes after she was given a R2 800 salary offer, which she wasn’t happy about.
Now, a day later, one of their seasoned presenters has announced his exit. The award winning actor, media personality and casting director first joined Gagasi FM in 2018. He grew from the station’s weekend shows to hosting the Breakfast & Drive Time show. Khaya will bid farewell to the station on March 29th 2024, after six years of being with them.
In a statement shared on social media, Khaya is leaving to broaden his horizon and expand his brand both locally and internationally. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to Gagagzi FM and the listeners for trusting his talent.
“It pains me that I find myself in a position where I have had to leave a brand that I fell in love with years ago due to the non-conducive environment. The trajectory of my personal brand is no longer aligned with that of the station, however, I would like to thank every single person who made my journey at Gagasi FM a fruitful one.”
