Job Description Spree is looking for a talented individual to join our exciting ops & finance team. This person will be responsible for performing bank and general ledger reconciliations for bank accounts, and to capture and process various payments. Further tasks will include completing fraud checks and ensure pending payment and refund SLA’s are met.
Minimum Requirements • Matric with accounting as a subject, as well as a relevant post matric qualification
• At least two years’ experience in a financial position with preferably system exposure to Smartstream, CashFocus, Vortal Buy, etc.
• Experience in accounting practices and principles
• Proficient in relevant computer software packages and applications
• VAT knowledge is advantageous

Duties & Responsibilities • Update bank reconciliation weekly by agreed deadline;
• Perform general ledger reconciliations for bank accounts;
• Ensure all invoices and refunds are accurately captured, allocated and approved before payment;
• Ensure refund SLA is met and adhered to consistently;
• Ensure all payment confirmations are sent to customers;
• Process refunds to customers and maintaining a good relationships with customers;
• Maintain SLA on all Pending Payment orders;
• Keep customer communication up to date;
• Process various month-end journals and allocations;
• Assist with and complete fraud investigations;
• General administrative tasks as and when required;
• Ensure all filing is up to date and easily accessible; and
• Assist auditors to complete audit correctly by being proactive in providing relevant information.
