Requirements

Operations – Equities Trader Assistant 

Responsibilities:

•     Understanding  the South African equities market

•     A thorough understanding of what constitutes a sound operations control environment

•     A thorough understanding of the equities trade lifecycle

•     Performing trade reconciliations between the exchange systems (BDA and Nutron) and JPM internal systems

•     Capturing of trades on the JPM corporate systems

Qualifications:

•     Finance degree with at least Accounting 1 and Grade 12 Mathematics

Sales, Trading & Research – Equities Sales Intern
Responsibilities:
 

  • Based on the JPM equities trading floor, the intern will interact with sales, dealers and traders so as to better understand each role
  • Attend the morning meeting with equity research where daily ideas and themes are generated
  • Assist sales with bespoke client requests daily
  • Present to the JPM team on a stock of your choice, with investment recommendation
  • Cold call a JPM director on your investment recommendation
    Qualifications:
  • Any Bachelor’s degree with at least Accounting or Mathematics
