We’re recruiting now for contributors to join our Cape Town and Johannesburg teams in May 2014!
All positions are unpaid internships, for work experience only. Transport is provided for full-time interns, and all content-related expenses are covered. Internships run on a three-month cycle, and require a 3 day/week commitment in Johannesburg and a 3 or 4 day/week commitment in Cape Town. We also welcome remote contributors from across South Africa.

All interns are offered career counselling, CV and portfolio editing, opportunities to network with and learn from relevant media industry professionals, and assistance with further employment or education placements after program completion. Participants gain on-the-job experience in a real working environment, creating industry-standard content for a national audience of their peers. All activities take place under the guidance of a team of media mentors, all of whom are working professionals in their respective fields.
Live Magazine SA’s estimated readership is 260,000 nationally. Last year we reach almost 2 million people through our digital channels including our website, YouTube channel and social media communities. Some of our former contributors have gone on to work for eTV, British Council, 140 BBDO, SABC2, Highbury Safika Media, and Zalebs, among others.
