Buyers Assistant Internship- Cape Town

Ideal Profile:
Are you a detail-orientated person that has great administrative skills?

Have you got experience in working with Ms Office Suite (Excel, Excel Pivots, Word, Powerpoint)

Key Performance Areas:
You will be required to meet the company performance standard by carrying out the following functions:

Providing Administration Support by managing the range review sheets, based on the Buy Plan and updating the excel sheets by gender category per order.
Assisting in Managing the Buying Process by:
Assisting the Buyer with the preseason selection process.
Tracking and giving feedback on prices, adverting and online sales activities.
Assisting the buyers with advertising selections, samples and communication.
Assisting the buyer in ensuring replenishment orders are agreed on with the Planner and are placed timeously as per the company strategy and range plan.
Placing orders into the ITEM master once the selection is done.
Doing the order confirmation and GRV comparison/match.
Notifying relevant parties of changes to be reflected in the Buy Plan.
Tracking market activity on a marketing calendar on a daily basis.
Organizing supplier sample requirements when required.
Assisting in building the brand and supplier relationships by:
Ensuring the correct communication is given between the company and the supplier, as per the company standards (eg. Markdowns Communication).
Updating supplier data, such as terms and conditions, credit maintenance, payment terms and discounts.

Managing the quality of products on the website by:
Proactively assessing that the content on the website is accurate for the category and checking that everything is uploaded and reporting any discrepancy’s to the Category Manager, Studio Manager and Buyer.

Education and Experience:
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate – high school qualification) / RPL at same level
Relevant tertiary qualification in Retail Business Management / Fashion design or RPL at the same level
1+ years experience in a retail environment.
