SA Celebs Share Their #DStvDeliciousFestival2022 Experiences

SA Celebs Share Their #DStvDeliciousFestival2022 Experiences. The 24th of September is the date that so many South Africans looked forward to in the entertainment calendar. The long-awaited return of the DStv Delicious Festival was supposed to be a day of great music, delicious food, refreshing drinks and overall entertainment.

The festival, back after a Covid-19 hiatus, was held at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand on Saturday. Unfortunately what was supposed to an event to celebrate the best in international food and music talent turned sour. The first day, did not start on the right note. There were already fake ticket entries which were causing major delays inside the venue as well as massive traffic jam outside.

For people to enter the venue, to find parking, to use restroom, to source out food and drinks, they had to spend at least two to three hours in queues. There was also a concerning issue of security. A number of people who attended the festival lost some of their assets to petty thieves, with the most stolen items being cellphones.

Some of our celebrities were also in attendance. As expected there were in VIP, where they hoped to get the best experiences. Judging from their posts on social media, it is very clear that they did not get what they expected. Just like any other person with a normal ticket the likes of Tshepi Vundla, Musa Mthombeni, Blue Mbombo, and Nokuthula Mavuso had horrible experiences.

Taking to Twitter these celebrities and many other people aired their disappointments. The great thing though is that they arrived home in one piece. The only positive thing trending about the festival is Burna Boy’s electrifying performance.

The festival continues on Sunday with performances from award-winning Babyface, Angie Stone and a host of local acts.
