| Job Summary | Murray & Roberts Projects invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Heat Treatment Supervisor for the Kusile Project reporting to the PWHT Manager. The project entails the building of 6 x 780 MW Coal Fired Super Critical Boiler for the coal fired Kusile Power Station to be erected at the Kusile Site at Witbank, Mpumalanga, South Africa.Preference will be given to suitably qualified EE candidates |
| Key Responsibilities | The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Must have at least 10 years experience as a Heat Treatment Supervisor. Must have a good understanding why Heat Treatment is required based on Metallurgical facts/requirements. Must have very good knowledge of all Heat Treatment Procedures, Specifications and Materials. Must know and be familiar with all Heat Treatment equipment, its purpose, the function of every item and correct application thereof. Must be able to assist in performing complex setups if required, be able to advise and lead by example including all HSE related matters. Assist Management in taking care of Equipment by taking ownership thereof. To take initiative in the day to day running of the complete Heat Treatment scope of work and to be proactive in its duty. Must be trustworthy, honest and open in its approach to Supervising Heat Treatment processes since it is of utmost importance to protect the integrity of the Materials used on this project. Must have a proper understanding of basic electricity and how it takes effect in doing Heat Treatment. |
| Key Requirements | Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:Must have “Hands – on” experience with regards to Planning, Setting up and executing of all Heat Treatment related tasks and procedures. Must be familiar with Material specifications and requirements as prescribed by the Client or Quality Control. Experienced in Troubleshooting and repair, be Quality conscious and be able to read Isometric drawings. Must be able to interpret and explain Heat Treatment Procedures and Techniques to Technicians and Assistant Technician as and when required. ATTRIBUTES: Team player |
| Education | Suitable candidates must possess a combination of the following minimum qualifications and skills:A Minimum of 5 years as a Senior Supervisor in Heat Treatment on major projects including Eskom Power stations, as well as Refineries, Process or Offshore Industries. Grade 10. |
