Context A leading entertainment industry organisation offers an exciting opportunity to work as an intern assistant to the Platform Manager. MultiChoice is providing a one year internship programme for 2013.
The Internship programme allows for flexible industry exposure programme intended to maximise benefits for both Multichoice and the Intern
Customers Other Multichoice divisions and subsidiaries
Outputs The successful job incumbent will gain extensive project management experience in all the key platform management areas within the Content context, including exposure to:

• Launch of channels across all media platforms
• Termination of channels across all media platforms
• Maintenance of channels on different platforms: audio, visual and feed quality
• Maintenance of records for all activities on various platforms
• Tracking of trends with regards to platform layout and ownership
• Tracking of trends with regards to latest audience/viewer interests
• Management of bouquets and products in line with business management systems

Education & Experience To qualify for the programme, the candidate must meet the following requirements:

• Postgraduate student/or graduate in project management, engineering broadcasting management, media & language studies & knowledge management qualification
• Special interest in the multi-platform content field
• Demonstrable awareness and interest in the specific field of new media (mobile, video-on-demand, social media, user-generated content, broadband, etc) will be an added advantage,
