Kings of Joburg Season II Fails to Impress Fans

Kings of Joburg Season II Fails to Impress Fans. Over the past weeks, anticipation grew as people were waiting for season II with baited breath. A lot happened on the final episode of the first season of Kings of Joburg, making fans eager to see what happens next.

The star studded series tells the story of the Masire brothers, who rule Johannesburg’s criminal underworld. Sadly for them, a supernatural family curse threatens to destroy them. On the episode, Mogomotsi ‘Mo’ Masire (played by Zolisa Xaluva) pulled the trigger on his brother Simon, aka Vader (played by the late Shona Ferguson).

On season II, Simon is nowhere to be found, and Mo has the hard task of having to explain the whereabouts of his brother. He also now took the reigns and acknowledges that he is not his brother. His enemies have smelt this uncertainty and declared, “Jozi has no king” while adding “Mo is weak.” The dominion of the Masires over the city is about to be challenged, fiercely.

On Friday, the Netflix original series premiered it’s second season. As expected, Kings of Joburg trended on social media. Sadly for some people, it did not live up top the hype. They feel there is too much confusion, and the storyline seemed rushed. Some even shared that it is obvious that this season was not produced and directed by Shona, who passed away in 2021 from Covid-19 complications. They advised that no plans for season III should be made.
