SAPS calling for applications “Training Programme 2014″
The South African Police invites applications for Enlistment in the Basic Training Learning Programme from young, energetic, intelligent, physically and metally fit individuals, dedicated to serving their country by persuing a career in policing.
It is expected that entry level trainee posts will be allocated to Gauteng Province shortly. The database of applicants applying for trainee posts in Gauteng Province is currently depleted and it is necessary that a fresh pool of candidates be recruited iun order to supplement the database for the january 2014 Intake.
REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAINEE APPLICANTS ARE A FOLLOWS IN TERMS OF REGULATION 11 OF THE SAPS REGULATIONS:
– Physically and metally fit
– Law-abiding citizens who have not been foung guilty of a criminal ofference (particulars of any pending criminal prosecution must be declared)
– Between the ages of 18-30
– In possession of a Matric/Senior Certificate/ Grade 12
– Be able to speak, read and write two official languages, of which one must be English
– Within the mass and height restriction, i.e. should without shoes be not be shorter than 1.67 m (Males) and 1.60m (Females) and a MBI (Body Mass Index) of less than 30. BMI is determined by weight (kg)/height (m)
– Must be in possession of a driver’s licence*
*Applicants without a driver’s licence, who comply with all the requirements referred to above, may also apply. It is expected from these successful applicants to obtain a light vehicle driver’s licence before expiry of the probation period.
