Leera Mthethwa Gushes Over Her Cool SAMAs Gig. One of the coolest things about the entertainment industry, is its versatility. A personality can juggle being a musician, a DJ, an actress, an MC, an ambassador among many other opportunities.
If you are as talented and smart as Leera Mthethwa, you are definitely going to explore a couple of them. Many know her Ma’am Jackie, a no nonsense teacher at Gomora High. Little do they know, that she does a lot in the industry.
30 year old, Leera is an up and coming force to be reckoned with. She acquired her B.A in Live Performance from AFDA, where she focused on honing her screen acting skills and abilities among many other talents. The multifaceted creative also obtained her Honors in Film and Drama from the University of Pretoria, in an attempt to diversify her portfolio and to not only be acknowledged as a “Screen Actress” but to be granted the chance to indulge in theatre should the opportunity present itself.
On top of being a talented actress, Leera is also a voice over artist, with a number of years experience. She was the official voice for the recent South African Music Awards, which were held in Sun City, North West province. The gig saw her announce the hosts, as well as nominees in various categories.
