Rihanna The Most ‘Liked’ Star On Facebook
Singer Rihanna is on the top spot of the list of most ‘liked’ people on Facebook, beating Eminem’s record of more than 60 million friends/fans on Facebook.
Eminmem became the first person to reach 60 million ‘friends’ on the site in July. Rihanna now has 61,644,646 ‘likes’, with Eminem coming a close second with 61,295,267 ‘likes’.
Shakira is in third place with 54.9 million followers, Lady GaGa takes fourth place with 53.2 million and late singer Michael still has a strong following of 51.9 million fans.
Rihanna’s “Likes” weren’t harmed after recent Facebook action to remove fake Likes. The move follows the social network’s admission that 8.7% of its users are not “real”, many having been set up by spammers who use them to artificially make pages appear more popular.
Although Rihanna is currently leading when it comes to Facebook fans, she only ranks as number 4 on the list of the most followed on twitter.
Twitter is ruled by Lady Gaga who has more than 30.2 million followers, with Bieber trailing behind at 28.8 million. Katy Perry takes the third spot with 27.5 million followers and then comes the Barbados born singer with 26.2 million twitter fans.
