Kim Denied Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star

Kim Kardashian recently admitted in an interview that one of her life goal was to get a star on the Walk of Fame.

But according to the Hollywood chamber of Commerce reality stars do not qualify for the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“Part of criteria in being honoured is receiving awards such as Emmy’s, SAG Awards, and Oscars etc. in the category of Television, Live Stage Performance or Motion Pictures,” the rep said to Hollywood reporter.

They have to have a career in the business of acting for five years or more. Although the rules are quite strict when it comes to getting on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, there have been some exceptions over the years.
Such as Muhammad Ali’s star was granted after the committee decided that boxing could be considered a form of “live performance.”

Asked if reality stars might one day be in contention to get a star, the rep said, “Can’t really say if reality stars will ever be eligible. Not on our radar right now.”
