2011 FHM covergirl causes twitter war

The 20 year old Johannesburg model has gone viral on social network twitter after using the ‘K’ word in an angry tweet.

The 2011 FHM Models competition winner, Jessica Leandra posted the racial slur last night after an encounter with a petrol attendant. @JessicaLeandra: Just, well took on a on arrogant and disrespectful kaffir inside Spar. Should have punched him, should have, she tweeted.

The model who is also a brand ambassador for Kim Kardashian Quick Trim range in SA and Little Eden Charity Home then tweeted: @JessicaLeandra: Highlight,Almost punching an #Engen petrol assistant. No tolerance for rude African monkeys

When confronted about her tweet, she responded: Would u all stop! These are the kinds of people that land up raping young girls of our country! I wasn’t going to let him get away with it.

The tweet, which has since been removed, was met with a lot of anger on the social network with others calling the model racist and ignorant.

@ands @JessicaLeandra, for every step we take forward, ppl like you force our nation 3 steps back!
@Green_Guerrilla @JessicaLeandra Hunny, I’m not sure you understand what you’re in for. You know South Africans can be arrested for racism on social media?

@chiefntshingila The problem is not @jessicaleandra the problem is that, she has a lot of young white males and females who see her as a role model.

@Mpum_mpum Well, the last time someone said “k” it was career ending.Let’s hope we do the same 4 @jessicaleandra – just for fairness

@DarrenBloem So apparently @jessicaleandra deleted her racist tweet, because she now realises she was wrong? So she acknowledges she a racist bigot then?

“@Hypress @jesslevitt Tweeted with anger after an incident last night. Forget it pls, I dnt stand still against sexual harassment, thats all.”

And later with:

“Would u all stop! These are the kinds of people that land up raping young girls of our country! I wasn’t going to let him get away with it.”

@chiefntshingila The thing with words, is we use the words we are familiar with. Which to me says she is familiar with the word ‘kaffir’ @jessicaleandra

@JoziGoddess: Miss @JessicaLeandra is also the brand ambassador for Quick Trim. Kim K wont like this anti-blackness.

@DeepFriedMan Dilemma of the day: How do I unfollow @JessicaLeandra if I’m not following her in the first place?

@paulyberk You can fight abuse of women with the judicious use of the word ‘kaffir’. Like a superpower. Just ask this FHM poppie @jessicaleandra
